This page explains — plainly and completely — what little information passes through sloivy.com, and what happens to it.
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we track no one, we sell nothing, and the client-portal sign-in form on this site doesn’t actually send your credentials anywhere. The longer version follows.
What we collect, and how
1. When you write to us. This site has no contact forms. The email links on it open a message in your own mail application, and you choose what to share — typically your name, email address, and whatever you write. Your message is delivered to our email inbox, and we use it for exactly one purpose: to respond to you and carry on the conversation you started. We don’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t have a newsletter.
Our email is hosted on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online). Messages you send us are stored on Microsoft’s mail servers as our service provider, subject to Microsoft’s own privacy practices, the way any email sits on a mail server.
2. When you simply visit. This is a static website served by Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually every host on the internet, Cloudflare may automatically log basic technical details of each request — things like your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps. These logs exist for security, performance, and abuse prevention. We don’t use them to identify or profile you, and Cloudflare processes them as our service provider under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). Photography on this site is served from the Unsplash content delivery network (images.unsplash.com), which receives the ordinary technical request data involved in serving an image.
3. Analytics. We use none. No analytics scripts, no measurement pixels, no counters. If we ever adopt a measurement tool — even a privacy-preserving one — we will update this policy first.
That’s the complete list.
The client portal (an honest note)
You may notice a client and leaseholder sign-in on this site. It is currently a preview of a future service, not a working login. The form is intercepted in your browser before anything is sent: credentials you type there are not transmitted to, or stored by, us or our service providers. One thing we can’t control: your own browser or password manager may offer to remember what you type, on your device, under your settings. Even so, we’d rather you not type a real password into a preview. When a working portal launches, it will have its own security measures and its own clear privacy terms, and this policy will be updated before it goes live.
What we don’t do
- We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. As of the effective date, this site sets no cookies of its own at all.
- We don’t run third-party advertising. Aside from our hosting and content-delivery providers processing requests as our service providers, no third parties collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites through sloivy.com.
- We do not and will not sell, rent, trade, or “share” (in the cross-context advertising sense) personal information.
- We don’t buy data about you from anyone.
- We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site isn’t directed at them.
When information leaves our hands
Only in the narrow ways above (Cloudflare serving the site and logging requests; Microsoft carrying our email), or if the law genuinely requires it — a valid subpoena, court order, or similar legal process — or as needed to protect the safety and legal rights of SloIvy or others. If SloIvy is ever reorganized, merged, or sold, correspondence records could transfer as part of that transaction; any successor would be required to honor the promises in effect when your information was collected.
How long we keep things
Email correspondence is kept as long as it’s useful to the relationship or required for legal and accounting purposes, then deleted. Hosting and security logs are retained by Cloudflare on its standard rolling schedule, not archived by us.
Your choices and rights
You never have to give us anything to browse this site. If you’ve written to us and want your correspondence corrected or deleted, email privacy@sloivy.com and we’ll do it, promptly and without ceremony, unless we’re legally required to keep a record. We honor these requests for everyone, whether or not any statute requires it.
California residents: this policy is our disclosure under the California Online Privacy Protection Act. Based on our current size and practices, SloIvy is not presently a “business” subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. We voluntarily honor deletion and correction requests for everyone regardless.
“Do Not Track” and opt-out signals
Because we don’t track you, there’s nothing to opt out of. Our site does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals — not because we ignore your preference, but because we already treat every visitor as if those signals were on.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Because we collect so little, there’s very little to breach — the most privacy-protective data is the data never collected. Email, of course, is only as secure as email ever is; please don’t send us sensitive financial or identity documents by email.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — a working portal, a newsletter, an analytics tool, anything new — we’ll revise this policy and change the effective date at the top before the new practice begins. Material changes will be flagged with a notice on this page. We won’t apply new practices to information collected under old promises without telling you.
